Episode 1 - Welcome to Dream Small!

In a world that tells you to chase big dreams, we dare you to dream small.

In our very first episode, we (Jason and Whitney) introduce ourselves, our family of eight, and the heart behind starting this podcast. As foster and adoptive parents who’ve welcomed 12 children into our home, we’ve learned that God does some of His best work through the small, everyday acts of faithfulness.

We share:

• Our story of how the podcast began (hint: it involves a Josh Wilson song 🎶).
• Why “dreaming small” matters in a culture obsessed with chasing big.
• How Scripture (Zechariah 4:10) reminds us not to despise small beginnings.
• Practical examples of how anyone can make a difference—whether it’s buying cookies for a new neighbor, mowing someone’s lawn, or showing kindness to a single parent.

Our hope is that this podcast encourages you, refreshes you, and maybe even makes you laugh along the way. Most of all, we want you to know: the little things you do matter. God rejoices in your everyday faithfulness.
